Attorney Avery graduated cum laude from Columbia College of Missouri in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance. She then attended The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, IL and obtained her J.D. in 2018. During law school, Attorney Avery worked for the JMLS Fair Housing Clinic, negotiating settlements. During summers as a student, she clerked for a family law firm in McHenry, IL. She was admitted to the Wisconsin State Bar in April 2019, and the Illinois State Bar in May 2022. Prior to joining Kohn Law firm, she worked at another Milwaukee-based firm concentrating her practice in consumer litigation matters. Attorney Avery spent the first two years at Kohn handling Wisconsin post-judgment collection matters. In June 2022, Attorney Avery transitioned to the Illinois Litigation Team where she now concentrates her practice in Illinois consumer litigation.
